Keona Dawson, MSN, APRN, ANP-BC, Internal medicine

Granby, CT

I have always had an immense desire and compassion to care for people. As a critical care and emergency registered nurse, I mainly cared for patients in the worst state of health. Directly caring for patients with preventable and controllable diseases on life support was heartbreaking. These experiences led me to obtain a Master’s degree in Nursing to become a Nurse Practitioner. As an NP in internal medicine, I perform health promotion and disease prevention which directly contributes to improving patients health status and patient outcomes.
